We want anyone to be able to get a roof looked at, whatever they are using to browse. This site targets WCAG 2.1 level AA. We are not claiming certification, and we are not claiming it is perfect — below is what it does today and what we know is still open.

What this site does

  • Every page has exactly one H1 and a heading structure that follows the content, enforced at build time.
  • A skip-to-content link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page.
  • The navigation, the FAQ panels and the photo gallery all work from the keyboard alone. The gallery closes on Escape and moves with the arrow keys.
  • The FAQ answers are in the page whether a panel is open or closed, so they are readable by a screen reader and findable with browser search.
  • Every photograph carries alt text describing the photograph, not the filename.
  • Form fields have real labels, and the required ones are marked in text as well as colour.
  • Text resizes and reflows down to a 320px viewport without a horizontal scrollbar.
  • The site works with JavaScript disabled, apart from the spam check on the contact form.

What is still open

  • Colour contrast on the orange call-to-action band is still under review, and it is the one known contrast failure on the site.
  • The photo gallery does not support swipe gestures on touch devices; tap, keyboard and the backdrop all work.
  • Some photographs carried over from the previous site are low resolution and look soft when enlarged.

If you hit a problem

Tell us and we will fix it, and if the barrier is on our end we will get you the information another way in the meantime. Emailkyle@superroofman.com or call or text(817) 354-7663. Tell us the page and what happened, and if you know it, what you were browsing with.

We answer monday to friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and we treat an accessibility report as a bug, not feedback.
